Classic Airline Brands Still Have Fans!
Airline Time Machine Collectibles Handmade Mohawk Airlines Vintage Airline

A recent order for Mohawk Airlines vintage-style swizzle sticks reminded me of the lasting power that a departed airline can have for those who worked there, flew the airline, or just admired it or were otherwise influenced by it. In the case of Mohawk, the airline left the skies 49 years ago when it was acquired by Allegheny Airlines, but orders keep coming for nostalgia items that recall the Mohawk story and influence on the airline's service area and the broader aviation industry. Mohawk was the first United States local service airline to end DC-3 use in the early 1960s,...
They're really quite big!

The positive response to our retro aircraft tags has included requests for several additional aircraft that have a lot of fans around the world. But there's a size challenge... the larger an aircraft is, the more difficult it becomes to "shrink" a drawing of it down to a size that will fit a standard dimension luggage tag (that's roughly the size of a credit card), while retaining sharp detail that can be discerned with the naked eye. The solution is a larger tag, opening up new possibilities for design! The new MAX-size tag is 30% larger than our standard tags, and...
Tag a Favorite Plane!

New in the Airline Time Machine store: Laser engraved solid maple tags featuring classic and vintage aircraft! These are a unique and fun way to recall a favorite aircraft type that you maintained, flew, traveled on, or have just always admired. The tags have a body thickness of 1/8 inch (0.3 cm), providing good rigidity and wear strength. The laser cutting and engraving produces a rich caramel-colored edge and image, that contrasts well against the natural wood grain. A low-gloss polyurethane finish enhances the tag's durability, and each tag will have its own characteristic graining, reflecting the position on the board that it was cut from. As a...

Now in the Airline Time Machine store, our first Collector's Edition ornament set! Featuring four pioneering airliners of the 1926-1936 period, this collector set has been laser engraved on solid cherry wood, and is presented in a gift box with individual aircraft history information cards. These four airliners, all from United States manufacturers, collectively represent the dramatic leap forward in aviation technology that became the bridge between the first generation of wood and fabric-covered airliners, to the next generation of aircraft innovation that occurred during World War II. The boxed collection and history cards make this a gift to be treasured by pilots, vintage...
Tag, you're it!
Airline Time Machine Crew Tags Vintage Airline

We received a tremendous suggestion from one of our Instagram followers, who wanted to re-create the crew tags his parents had used when they both worked for a small U.S. airline 20+ years ago. That request has resulted in a new series of old school crew-style bag tags for retro airlines. Back in the day, crew member luggage often carried special "Crew" tags, to identify those bags for special handling, proper loading by porters or hotel staff, and even expedited Customs/Immigration clearance. Like I mentioned - back in the day! The modern interpretation we've drawn up includes an artistic interpretation...
