Mississippi Valley Airlines Acrylic Snowflake Ornament

This ornament recalls Mississippi Valley Airlines of La Crosse, Wisconsin, and later Moline, Iowa. The airline began service in 1968 to connect small cities in the Upper Midwest U.S. to Chicago O'Hare, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and St. Louis. The initial fleet of DeHavilland Canada DHC-6 and Beech 99 aircraft was expended to include the Short 330, Short 360, and Fokker F.27. The airline was merged into Air Wisconsin in 1985.

An artistic interpretation of the airline's brand is laser-engraved with exacting detail onto a cut acrylic snowflake crystal ornament, measuring approximately 3.4 inches (8.6 cm) between opposite points, with a material thickness of 1/8 inch.
