British United Airways Acrylic Snowflake Ornament

This ornament recalls British United Airways of the UK, formed in 1960 through the merger of Airwork Services and Hunting-Clan Air Transport. The combined airline focused on charter services as its predecessors had, but began an expansion toward scheduled services through acquisition of new BAC 1-11 and Vickers VC-10 jets to support both domestic and long-haul international routes. The airline was purchased by Caledonian Airways in 1970, creating British Caledonian.

An artistic interpretation of the airline's brand is laser-engraved with exacting detail onto a cut acrylic snowflake crystal ornament, measuring approximately 3.4 inches (8.6 cm) between opposite points, with a material thickness of 1/8 inch. For best display clarity, the design is engraved as a reversed mirror image on one side of the ornament, so that it can be viewed with proper alignment on the opposite side.
