This ornament recalls Northeast Airlines of the United Kingdom, that began as charter airline BKS Air Transport with a single Douglas DC-3 from Southend Airport in Essex during 1952. The addition of scheduled services in 1953 led to fleet expansion across several types, notably Vickers Viscounts, Airspeed Ambassadors, Bristol Brittanias, and HS Tridents.

In 1967, BKS became part of British Air Services with Cambrian Airways, jointly owned by the former owners of BKS and Cambrian, plus new owner British European Airways (BEA). BKS was re-named Northeast in 1970, and both Northeast and Cambrian were merged into the new British Airways in 1973, the airline created by the larger merger of BEA and British Overseas Airways Corp. (BOAC).

An artistic interpretation of the airline's brand is laser-engraved with exacting detail onto a cut acrylic snowflake crystal ornament, measuring approximately 3.4 inches (8.6 cm) between opposite points, with a material thickness of 1/8 inch. For best display clarity, the design is engraved as a reversed mirror image on one side of the ornament, so that it can be viewed with proper alignment on the opposite side.

As a gift, or as a treat for yourself, these are a perfect way to add your favorite airlines of the past to your today! Use them to decorate for the holidays, or to brighten up your desk, office, or special area of your home or work space all year long.
